Project: Non-engineering Project for National Flash Flood Forecasting Pilot Counties

The major construction scope for the system includes water rainfall monitoring, flash flood information collection and consultation, dissemination of disaster early warning information and other functions as required through applying advanced and mature flash flood forecasting system and technology solutions. Through public tendering, we have participated the project which involved equipment procurement of project construction for more than twenty counties, the system inspection has been completed and the systems are working very well. It prevents torrent effectively, improves the worsening torrent situation in pilot counties and reduces casualties and property damages. By the way, it provides experience for full implementation of the national flash flood control program. Till now, nearly 70 counties contract awarded and under construction, some of them were passed SAT already.
Project: The Hydrological and Drought Information Sub-centers System Project of State Flood Control and Drought Relief Command System Phase 1

Through tendering, Tri-Tech took part in the project to build 25 hydrological information sub-centers and 5 drought information sub-centers which have been passed inspection and acceptance, they are in the good operation. The target of the system construction is to build a water rainfall automatic monitoring system covering central flood information telemetry stations throughout the country, drought information automatic monitoring system and the flood and draught information processing and analysis system, initially finish a project work information acquisition system covering key projects all over the country, extend forecasting solutions for cross sections and scheduling of river reaches, improve the flood forecasting accuracy and optimize the scheduling programs, strengthen the capacity of drought information analysis and processing; integrate resources, expand and improve the ability of off-site consultation, improve information security standards, to build scientific, efficient and safe decision-making system for national flood and drought control.
Project: Establishment of Hydrology Measurement & Reporting Center and Supporting Data Center for Decision Making for Pearl River Basin of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

We improved the efficiency and capability of the hydrology information management of hydrology information monitoring systems for 22 large-and-medium-sized reservoirs established by different proprietors in different years for the Pearl River Basin in Guangxi Province. We were awarded the contract in a competitive bidding process in 2008. We restored and optimized hydrological measurement and reporting systems for 22 reservoirs and integrated rainfall data information for each reservoir with hydrology information in the sub-centers of flood and drought command systems of eight counties neighboring Guangxi creating unified management, storage and applications. The integrated reservoir hydrology data can be submitted to the provincial hydrology center through sub-central communication systems. The project cleared its final performance check and acceptance in July 2009. The system is working well as the project construction requirements.
Project: National Large Irrigated Area Information Management System Pilot Project

The project scope includes rain monitoring, automatic water quantity gauge, automatic control of gate and pumping station, water rate automatic statistics and collection, optimal scheduling of water resources, integrated system management for irrigated area. Taking full advantage of modern information technology (computing design technology and communication technology), irrigated area information management system is to deeply develop and extensively use information resources of irrigated area management such as information acquisition, transmission, storage and processing, improve accuracy and efficiency of information to make timely and accurate response and forecast and provide scientific evidence to decision making for administration of irrigated area. Through public tendering, We participated the information technology and automation projects for irrigated areas in Hubei Zhanghe, Guangxi Guishi, Inner Mongolia Hetao. Currently these projects have passed check and acceptance and have been delivered to owners for operation.
Project: Reservoir Water Information Automatic Measurement and Forecasting, Flood Forecasting and Scheduling System

Reservoir is the key parts of flood prevention, the safety of reservoir is crucial to safety of downstream residents and industrial and mining enterprises. The project scope includes the automatic monitoring of rainfall at the upstream of the reservoir, the water level monitoring of watersheds for reservoir inflow and outflow. A flood forecasting model is established for the flood forecasting and scheduling system mainly based on the upstream data of the reservoir and historical meteorological and hydrological data and a scheduling model is established based on reservoir scheduling pre-plans to achieve the scientific management of reservoirs, improve the reservoir's capabilities on flood control and mitigation. Through tendering, we participated in development of hydrological information automatic forecasting software and flood forecasting scheduling software for more than 100 reservoirs in over 20 provinces and cities. The completed projects are in stable operation.

Through year 2004 to 2008, we bid on Heilongjiang government procurement projects and we won the projects for 4 consecutive years. We has designed and constructed 8 hydrological sub-centers systems for Qiqihar, Yichun, Mudanjiang, Harbin, Kiamusze, Suihua, Heihe and Greater Khingan Mountains, the total number of stations reached 783, the technical indicators of systems have reached or exceeded the standards required by State Flood Control and Drought Relief Command System and Automatic Hydrological Forecasting System Technical Specifications. RTU in stations, relay meters in relay stations, RTU in information acquisition and transmit stations and preset communication controller in central station, etc. All of these can fully meet customers’ requirements to high performance, high quality, long-term reliable operation, less maintenance and adapt to the cold environment of northeastern China. All projects we contracted for the four years passed their preliminary performance check in those very years and cleared their final performance check in the next years. All systems are in good operation.

The functions of the software include geographic information management, pollution sources management and polluting enterprise management, pollution control project management, drinking water sources management etc.. The project passed its check and acceptance in December 2008.The system is in stable operation and meets the requirements.
Project: Unexpected Geological Disasters Forecasting System in Beijing, Special Projects for 2008 Olympic Games

Adopting advanced information technologies ,network techniques, we developed an early-warning system about debris flow for Beijing. By the system, customers can implement comprehensive inquiries and monitoring about related information of debris flow, and build forecasting model to debris flow, implement early-warning forecasting of debris flow and information distribution to different users. The system makes more accurate forecasts to occurrence of geological disasters, thus it makes more pointed arrangement and deployment to the disaster prevention in time and space, it guides and promotes mass prediction and disaster prevention better to substantially improve capacities of disaster prevention and disaster reduction of Beijing, reduce geological disaster losses in a maximum extent and guarantee people's lives and property. This project improves the studying level of early-warning prediction works of Beijing geological disaster substantially. The project cleared its performance check and acceptance in November 2007, the system is in stable operation and meets the requirements.
